Identify the parts of the tourniquet prior to use: 1) 3 finger loop 2) The cleat 3) The running end of the loop.
WRAP AROUND LIMB AND PULL THROUGH LOOP
Feed the running end of the tourniquet through the loop created by the three finger loop.

WRAP UNTIL YOU RUN OUT
Wrap so the circumferential wrap creates the amount of tissue compression you need to shut down blood flow. (About 1 1/2" to 3" of tissue compression.)
CLEAT OFF
When you reach the end of the loop, feed the loop through the cleat and secure it. Then, mark the time of completion on the included tag.

CLEAT OFF
Keeping the running end of the tourniquet as tight as possible, secure it into the cleat.
MARK TIME OF APPLICATION
Finally, mark the time of completion on the included tag. Get to professional medical assistance as soon as possible.
